What the OCA Covers
The OCA is designed to assess a pilot’s knowledge of the applicable rules, application of the operator’s approved procedures, and flying competence.
The assessment has three components:
01. Pre-OCA Test
Complete a pre-OCA open-book test before your assessment.
02. Preparation
Demonstrate your preparation for the OCA, treating it as a normal commercial job.
Important: Flying in ATTI Mode
Additional areas of assessment may be included in the flight test if required by the operator’s exposition. This applies when an approved departure from Part 101 requires adherence to a particular operational procedure.
